No... It is not a proverb, It is a slang experession: Meaning don't criticise or make comments unless you have experienced it.

Proverbial teaching is the oldest form of teaching in the world.

Just because something is not in "The Book of Proverbs" does not mean that it isn't a proverb.

NO dead people mentioned in Proverbs.

Just simple sentences about 'cause' & effect!

Every culture on earth has proverbs unique to their ancient histories.


The Book of Proverbs are just a collection of simple observations!

For instance: Angry words stir up strife! That is very true! and it is just a simple observation that can be found in daily living. But a soft answer; turns away confrontation.
