It appears the infrastructure costs of SunTrust Park is more than expected and these costs have been hidden from the public by not being included in the original proposal. When questioned about it Commissioner Lee got hostile and even accused the AJC of being 'anti-Cobb', wtf?
Hey, when they're throwing nearly half a billion dollars at this project, what's another $41 million?

Not sure how you see that, when Perimeter Center is adding State Farm, MB, etc. all without spending $400M in public money for a stadium. Midtown is adding thousands of residential units, all without spending $400M in public money for a stadium.

81 home games, of which ~40 are on weekends (Fri-Sun) does not equate to a need for mass transit, let alone the irk on here that traffic will all of the sudden become unbearable for the area. Braves basically play Tues-Sunday, 7:05 or 7:35pm, at home every other week. So Tues - Thurs every other week (10 weeks, or 30 traffic days) will be bad if you leave for home after 6 p.m.

The area is already served by mass transit, but they are local buses that have to compete with traffic.
If Cumberland wants to become the premiere edge city submartket, and compete against Perimeter Center, then it will need to have rail-based or true BRT transit that connects to existing MARTA. The transit thing is more than just moving fans for a baseball game, but giving the submarket the advantage of having reliable transit.

How many companies will have to leave Cobb for the Perimeter or to Atlanta for Cobb to realize this?

I know it doesn't fit your narrative, but you make yourselves look very foolish by ignoring the facts:

There are well over a thousand, and probably several thousand residential units, including apartments, townhouses and single-family homes, under construction or recently completed in the Cumberland area as we speak, and the vast bulk of them have nothing to do with the Braves complex and were planned well before anyone knew about the baseball development. They're less visible to many on here than what's happening in town, partially because they're not featured on blogs like Curbed, and partially because it's basically a return to "business as usual" for the area, rather than the renaisaance of previously neglected areas like what we have seen in the city. Moreover, several office towers are being planned or are under construction in the area, including the headquarters for Delta Community Credit Union and the Atlanta headquarters for Synovus.

Have you seen the sheer number of projects Midtown is currently going on? I would be willing to bet, the number of apartments in just a few of the tall towers is more than all that is currently being built in Cumberland.
Also, Midtown is not a neglected area, but has seen a steady rise since the 80's. Comparing these tows submarkets is laughable. Cumberland should focus on trying to get reliable transit first, then try and compete with the big boys (Perimeter, Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown.)

Here are a thousand+ units going into SE Atlanta as we speak:

And this is before anything even starts at the Turner Field site.

If you are claiming that your $400M tax dollar investment in a stadium is bringing lots of great development to what has historically been a regional node, you at least need to be doing better than the "undesirable" area you are leaving.

And while a thousand new units is nice, here are 10,000 new units in the works for Midtown:

(Edit: That list is also old, there is an updated on in that thread. Midtown is over 12,000 units in the works now.)

Cumberland is not getting the development return on their investment in the stadium.

Cumberland is not getting the development return on their investment in the stadium.
Cobb County is also having to dump millions of tax money in infrastructure upgrades not budgeted fro the stadium, while Midtown already has existing infrastructure in place to handle the influx of 10K more living spaces.
