The funny thing about those Cascade Road commercial corridor annexations was the City of Atlanta actually intentionally left some of the properties unincorporated to be fair. The commercial parcels holding the Kroger, Home Depot, Applebee's, Starbuck, Walgreens, and former Rite Aid were all left unincorporated not to create an island. Also the 52-acre APS-owned property adjacent to Benjamin E. Mays High School was left unincorporated as well for the same reason since it is technically a city-owned entity. They could have gotten all of those parcels surround the I-285 and Cascade Road interchange and forced the entire interior of the unincorporated peninsula into the city limits.

The pro South Fulton municipality individuals should be appreciative of that small jester from Atlanta because Reed is buddies with the guy whom owns all of those properties along the corridor but opted not to pursue the "take-it-all" method to be fair.

It's funny and sad you don't see much of that coming from those pro-municipality individuals like someone is out to get them when they don't realize whom is the real puppeteer(s) really pulling their strings on cue. Even sadder part is those puppeteers are playing them like a fiddle with the false believe of independent (local) control over Euclidean zoning. That Euclidean zoning is the real reason why the unincorporated parts of Fulton County look like either unkept wilderness with random half-developed or poorly developed subdivisions and little infrastructure aside from basic utilities or rundown (recently developed) suburban decay...

So you're calling us stupid BECAUSE we want control over the poor zoning practices of the Fulton government. You must like the status quo in South Fulton. Horrible services, zoning, lack of public amenities such as parks, and the half finished subdivisions certainly aren't good enough reasons to want a change of governance.

If you want to ASSume that my statement then that is one you because I'm not in the mood... but don't ever put words into my mouth. If I want to call you all or anyone stupid then have no qualms about doing just that at all. There is no "we" if you know whom and their motives behind this bs attempt.

"Playing them like a fiddle" by "puppeteers" is insinuating that South Fulton residents are stupid. That's exactly what you said, I don't have to assume anything. If you don't like the proposal that's one thing, but don't insult the people who do. You're comments are very condescending.

The whole point of manipulation is that the person you're manipulating doesn't realize it. It's not necessarily about intelligence, but also how much you are aware of what's happening.

Ignorant, unwillfully or otherwise, might be a better word to describe Jero's statement.

And your point is...? Yeah, they are being played like a fiddle by puppeteers and the proposal is stupid as hell. What's new, Scooby Doo?
