If the subject of this thread is "Crime in Atlanta skyrocketing" and that's literally been proven untrue, what's the point in keeping this going?

I haven't looked up Cobb or Clayton.

Dekalb had 70 in 2015. Feb to now has 48. I'll see if I can get full data for the year but that's all I can pull from the website for now.

Gwinnett had 33 homicides in 2016, 28 in 2015, 34 in 2014, 27 in 2013 and 41 in 2012.

My impression is it is nuissance crime (car break-ins, packages stolen from porch, etc.) that is up. There seems to be a trend to move away from Broken Windows Policing so I would expect this type of crime to continue increasing.

Plus those crimes are incredibly easy to commit and it's hard to snag the bad guys unless you happen to catch them in the act or get their license plate on video.

Atlanta and DeKalb don't even try.

inconsiderate is different than unsafe.

i do agree that atl has a crime problem. but it is what it is. i just know to be aware of my surroundings and never leave any valuables unattended in my car, i try not to park in parking lots that are indoors or underground, etc. and i have security cameras.
