Augusta area's export growth potential ranks high in national study

The Augusta area’s export economy has the potential to grow by 72.2 percent by 2020, according to a report published by the U.S. Conference of Mayors and IHS Global.
The report ranked Augusta-Richmond County in the top 40 out of 150 major metro areas studied. In 2010, the area exported $1.1 billion in merchandise value, and that figure is expected to climb to as much as $1.9 billion by 2020

Lavish Ultra Lounge is opening the former Pure/Modjeska space at 813 Broad street.. Right across the common from the Sprint Foods & Metro Market construction..

I wonder if this Lounge going to be any different then the others Lounge we have already. Im glad for the business opening up because it going to help downtown augusta get more night traffic. We also need some day traffic businesses

Seems like we got so caught up in the GGHOF discussions that we forgot about the little ol TEE center. What is the status on that you all, and how can the GGHOF and GHSU help the convention center? Norton Guy are there still no tenants for the building yet?

The construction should wrap up over the next few months..

Tenants? Do you mean any conventions booked? Yes there atleast five contracts signed I believe...

Yea i was a bit sleepy typing that lol I meant to say Conventions....However, is the TEE center going to perform well in Augusta?

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Haltermann Partners, Inc. and Cassandra and Glen Brinson are pleased to announce the opening of Café 209 in the Nash Building, 566 Broad (corner of Broad St. and Monument St.).

Café 209 is a caterer and restaurant which has been in business in downtown Augusta for 12 years, first at the corner of Ellis and Tenth Street, then, more recently, at the base of Eighth Street next to the Riverwalk.

Café 209 specializes in catering services for all special events and regional cuisine served daily, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. until 6 p,m. The opening occurred on March 19.

The Saint Sebastian landscaping project just outside of the CBD was finished last week, and looks very nice... The city spend $185k to help out with the cost, and the private businesses paid for the rest...(total investment $500k)...
