Old School is the Best school. you cant buy cool.

classics of my time occurred during the 90s. This is when the Japanese really put a dent on the market. When some of these vehicle made the top 10 most stolen cars list, you know it has to be a good car.

so , my picks: 1995, Acura legend, MB e500, Mazda Miata, Cadillac Brougham/impala ss , BMWs 740i.

1995 was a very good year .

modern sport cars are Like Kate Dennings on wheels. Nissan GTR hot. Acura NSX Hot. Ford GT hot.
for more affordable sport cars there is the Subaru Impreza WRX. AWD, turbo and hood scoop
Old cars are primitive, they are basic, and are boxy.
Old cars are boxes with wheels on it
I have no interest in watching Barret Jackson.
Stop bringing 40 to 50 year old cars from the dead
Also let old AS400 die too.
The only good that is old is the Iowa Class battleship and the M2 Browning.
Carrol Shelby don't mean **** to me.
Hemi don't mean **** to me.
My favorite car show Knight Rider available on El rey

I love the cars you just mentioned, but you are WRONG if you think old cars from the 50’s-70’s are simply boxes on wheels. Ever driven a muscle car from the late 60’s? They had loads of power, were cool, fast bad ass looking cars.

Old cars from the golden era had class, a sense of real style and size that made them intimidating to drive. They are amazing looking with lots of chrome, real heavy duty steel, and detailed bodies that no modern stuff can even come close to.

Keep smoking on that good stuff my friend, because you obviously don’t know WTF you’re talking about.

Old cars are primitive like a dinosaur.
Give me backup camera and commercial free Sirius radio available on my modern car. Also my modern car is reliable with metal fleck. Let old cars die. Not Spend 100 hrs a week rebuilding them. RIP General Lee. Modern cars are like KITT.
Cars like the Bugatti Veyron have loads of power. The speed limit for cars on road is 258 MPH or so. Veyron is AWD, Turbo and 1100 hp. That is like having 2 Mustangs under the hood. AWD Turbo is king of speed. Also enlist the T60 Power Armor with Jet pack for US Army use. Its KITT for the arm. It stops all rounds but 50 cal, also frags are harmless, radiation also harmless. Deep water is the biggest threat sorry SEALS. Can leap off buildings and and elevated freeway without damage.

There is room for both in our garage/driveway. A restored or restomod classic muscle car is great fun, but then you need the modern one for the daily commute, family trips, and other normal uses. For many years we had 3, a newer one each for my wife and I, and a classic for my fun in nice weather. Before doing a front disc brake conversion, getting those all drum brakes wet in our climate means difficulty stopping until they dry out.

I miss the engines that were easy to work on.

All of my heavy cars with the huge engines got right around 18 mpg, so the economy wasn't as good, but it wasn't awful, and I sure miss the power. Nothing quite beats sitting in a car that trembles at the stop lights.

Adding, the new cars all look alike. Style and design are things of the past. Changing the shape of the headlights every couple of years is not style, nor is it design.

Delete turbo and you just described a pick up truck. They are different today. In old days 5.7 0-60 was considered quick. Today, it is average. Even pick up are there.

If you just wnat performance, then it is new cars all the way. If you want coolness, there is a huge list. 1963 Split Window Vette; 1971 Cuda Hemi convertable; 1973 Jensen Interceptor; 1968 GTO Judge. 1952 Allard J2X; 1960s Jaguar XKE; 1968 Lambo Muira; Chevy Bel Aire; Dodge roadrunner; charger, challenger, AMG AMX,

There are loads of awesome cars form that era that would be a hoot to own. No, none of them are going to compare performance wise to the beasts of modern technology, but the modern beasts just are not as cool.

My problem with new vehicles are the repair costs, which are going up. There are sensors everywhere, located in difficult to reach areas; increasing the amount of labor.
I don't lease and flip anymore, so next vehicle will have a carburetor.
A 1970 Cutlass would do just fine, which was the best year.
Beefier cam etc.
