Since 2008. the Phillies never had any competition in the NL East and It was clear in May that the Nats, Braves, and Mets were IMPROVED which made the division stronger this year. Especially since all 3 teams still have more wins than the Phillies and it's almost August.
I think 2012 is the turning point of the Phillies dominating the NL east because the Nats are the 2007 version of the Phillies. The Nats are not going anywhere for a while as the Phillies continue to get older.
Your perception is screwed, due to the Phillies having an off year. If the Phillies were playing like the Phillies it would be a two team race.
As it stands now, the AL East, AL Central, AL West and NL Central are all stronger divisions. Nats will be exposed in the playoffs as a young team who do not understand the pressure of winning in the playoffs.
Also, while your thread was started in May, you were proclaiming that division to be the strongest, which would infer to it being the strongest division for the league year.

Off year my foot their dominance of the NL is now in progress according to the last 2 years.
Since 2007, they have been the best team in the NL East. This is not a last 2 year thing. They have had a solid foothold for a while and were very competitive before that.
They haven't made the WS since 2009 which proves their domination of the NL took a slight turn in 2010. The final result of every season is the whole story.
If this is how you truely feel then there's no reason for you to make any more posts until after the World Series.
I look forward to your silence.
My point is the postseason is how you judge the direction of a franchise not by the total of postseason wins. Now maybe the Nats will fall apart in the playoffs but if they do atleast it's their first appearance and they can build on that. The phillies won't be in the playoffs at all after losing in the 1st round last year and that says a LOT.
This thread was posted in May and in 2 days it will be AUGUST so your post is silly
So my answer should have been "2 months ago". Obviously, when the thread was posted, the NLE was not strong at all, it just appeared to be after a few weeks of the season based on several teams playing way over their heads. So the thread "is sillly".

So the team from the NL East lost in the playoffs last season. How can you say that the NL East is strong?
A team from the NL Central won the world series so that must be the strongest division according to your logic, correct?
So just don't post any more until we know who wins in the post season.
kthxbye
