Beltran had more power and Ellsbury has more speed. If healthy, (a big if), Ellsbury's HR totals will be padded heavily playing in the Bronx.

Kevin Youkilis has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan for the 2014 season, his agent confirmed Friday.
Youkilis will have a $4 million base salary and can earn $1 million in bonuses -- including some based on walks, a provision not allowed in major league contracts.
Thanks to "Moneyball" there were probably a lot more people following Youkillis' career than is typical for minor leaguers. If you are unfamiliar with the book, Youkillis is the minor leaguer that Billy Beane would most like to extract from Boston, highly desirable because of his healthy on base average which was fortified by frequently taking base on balls.
We know how things unfolded, Youkillis remained with Boston and became a big part of its first two championship teams. His last two seasons, spread among Boston, the Cubs and the Yankees have been injury plagued and unproductive.
This move to Japan is most likely his last hurrah.
I'm surprised to see that Price hasn't been traded yet. The Rays will get less and less for him as the season approaches.
Don't think there's another Wil Myers to be had. It's either keep Price or get a larger package headlined by two or three very good prospects, rather than one awesome young talent.
