The hornets are actually going to surprise a lot of people so a loss to then isn't as bad as last year. I say math might not be to far off considering how bad the east looks this year.

Bulls were 18-9 without Rose last season. That pro-rates to a 54+ win season.

That's my logic.

If you want to refute that by claiming I'm on drugs and point to a single loss, then that's just going to have to be your position on the matter.

Want to make a wager? I will take the over at 45 games.

But without Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis?

Yup. I believe it is called the Ewing effect.... When a teams star is down mentally opponents ease up

That was is only for making the playoffs which generally only takes 41-42 games in the east to be a lock and some years only in the 39ish area.

Basically, I cannot follow your thought pattern as to how an 18-9 team without rose last year is going to be under .500 but hey, it is what it is.

Again as I stated earlier, it's not the same team as last year. They lost a lot of depth.

They did a pretty good job of replacing the depth though. Asik was the biggest loss they had and while he is a 'likable' player that gets a lot of attention, he really had a marginal impact for the Bulls last year. They still have Taj coming off the bench, which I felt was way, way more important.

I think 50 is a bit of a stretch, but I certainly don't see this team cellar dwelling

The 50 depends on when\how Rose comes back.

I don't get too worked up about this season anyway, the Bulls need a little more playoff seasoning which is what was really sad about last years season. Healthy, they would have gotten back to the ECF and taken it to 5-6 games which is very valuable experience.
