That's a good thing. Alex Azar knows the game as well as anyone -- probably better than anyone. Moreover, he's an accomplished executive who can deliver results. That's what we need to run Health and Human Services -- not some inside-the-beltway politician.

LOL! That's just silly. Everyone prefers capital gains to dividends.

Moreover, the largest shareholders of Big Pharma are Public Sector Union Pension Plans, private sector pension plans, private sector 401K retirement plans, and the like.

I knew it was something like that. Thanks for clarifying. But you confirm the point I was trying to make. Shareholders from all those plans you mentioned don't care if prescription prices go up. They just want profit. They just don't realize how they're getting that profit. I really hope you're never in a position some day where you are in need of a prescription drug that will save your life and find out the price is $8K a pill.

Seriously. I Googled it, though, and realize that I've heard of CVSCaremark....have no idea how many people use it, or if it really benefits them.

This is why ACA and Single Payer will never work.

Better hope that Brain Cancer doesn't kill you off in 4.5 years.

Me? I prefer to see my specialist in a day or two.

Great validation of your argument: an unverifiable snapshot ... an expose' extraordinaire! And once again you use the country known for its poor record of waiting for specialist care ... and you cite one specialty example ... while avoiding any actual balanced study of international health care systems.

Unverifiable? The hospital address and division office is in the header.

Socialism sucks. No one wants to wait 4.5 years for brain surgery.

I understand your point - but just to clarify, that pic is for a Neurologist, not a Neurosurgeon. Your point of course is still valid.

So what if the hospital address is in the header? It may be an actual letter from the hospital. But it could also be a total fabrication. You know: FAKE LETTER? People make all kinds of fakes. We have no verification ... so, sure, it might be real ... sure it might be a fake. In any case it does not prove:

1. That socialism sucks
2. That there are no avenues of recourse for critical surgery - even in Canada.
3. That this type of wait is typical of universal health care.

It is one [possible example] of one lousy situation in one country that has universal health care.

Btw: Canada isn't a socialist country.

If you want to argue your position with any credibility (haha) please show the readers here credible comparative analyses of the 7 or 8 dozen national universal health care systems in the developed nations world as equitably measured against the U.S. healthcare mess.
