Where are you posting from? Let me guess: the Middle East, somewhere? Russia? Singapore?
I'm overseas, does it matter what Country? (BTW it's none of those).

Do Celebs and the Elite live in Monterey Bay? If it's so great why does noone talk about it like they do Beverly Hills?

Then why won't you let us educate you? We have lived in LA. Beverly Hills homes are not secluded. They are in a HUGE ritzy neighborhood, in the middle of an enormous, overcrowded city. Do you know why BH homes have high walls around their yards? Because tourists are given bus trips multiple times a day through the neighborhood to gawk at the homes of rich people. They sell maps to tourists so they can "See the homes of the rich and famous" on half the street corners in LA. Is that secluded?

Elite are not necessarily the Hollywood types. If you look at the Bay Area, they're often wealthy CEO's, whose net worth are often in the billions, which is well above what you'd get with the Hollywood celebrities. Surprised you don't know that.

That's fine, I'm O.K with passers-by more than I am with neighbours as long as they don't come in.

I do in fact know about that, Google has an office in Bay Area.

Because they don't want tons of people around. Just like you, they want seclusion. If you want seclusion you go where there are less people.

Seriously do more research about the LA area, which BH is smack in the middle of. Gangs, traffic jams daily that last for hours, pollution, tens of thousands of homeless people living literally on the street. BH is lovely, but you can't just stay in your home all the time, you have to venture out and deal with all the rest. Why are you so concerned with living near celebrities? The truly "rich and elite" don't try to impress others with their address. They buy beautiful acreage in quiet communities with awesome views and then live low key lives so as not to draw attention to themselves.

Yes. Celebs & the elite have homes in the Monterey Bay region. You don't hear about it much, because Hollywood tends to capture the world's imagination and attention, and those Hollywood celebs tend to cluster in BH. Some have second homes around Monterey, though. Others have second homes in Santa Fe or Taos, New Mexico. I bet you've never heard of those places, have you? You're missing out on the celeb action.

Still other elites have large spreads on islands off the coast of Seattle. I bet you've never heard of that, have you? (The San Juan Islands). The rich prefer to keep their playgrounds fairly secret. They don't want you to know about them. The ones who don't care so much, are the ones who live in Beverly Hills. Besides, they have to go to work in LA, so they don't have much choice about where to live. They're stuck in the LA area.

IDC about being next to Celebs. I want to be in a place where there's minimal neighbours. I have heard of the Bay Area that's where all the Tech Companies are. How does Bay Area compare and contrast to Beverly Hills?

It's nice to know different opinions. I came into this Thread thinking Beverly Hills was #1 in California. Let's move on from Beverly Hills for a while. How does Monterey Bay compare and contrast to Bay Area?
