Years ago, when I first saw this I sort of hated it, but kind of liked it too because I knew it was "right on", exaggerated, but still "on the money".

Watching it now, I Absolutely Love it!

Anyone who has lived in Ca-li-for-ni-a, especially SoCal, in the last 50 years can attest to our need to give directions. Especially if you live in LA, route directions, always seems to be part of the conversation.

If you grew up in California, you probably know a person like Devin, Stuart, Karina......and so on.

Better yet, the directions they give in the sketches are actually accurate, and the route shortcuts are real.

Before Google Maps, knowing your way around and knowing the shortcuts was an admirable trait.

Love Kenan, Love Christina Applegate........and the fact that she says......ya know how Fountain ends at the Middle School...........

ya but continues on the other side of the Hollywood Frwy in Silver lake where Casitas Del Campo is lo-ca-te-d.

Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Christen Wing are slap-me-silly funny. :-)

You are a "real"

Ca-li-for-ni-an

if you can

instantly recognize the acoustic tune in the background of the video without googling it.

It's an old song about missing, and being home-sick for California.

I know riaaghhhht,

even in the Bhahh Areaaah they used to talk like that, but mostly

in SoCal; growing-up in "SAAN di aaaegoooo" in the late 70's, early 80's everybody talked like that

slow, drawn-out, you actually said every vowel sound, elongated, even every consonant was sounded out (except for a few instances)

Check-out, in the video starting at 19:53 minutes, the only time you don't say a consonant.

Huge kudos to Fred Armisen for saying Sacramento like the natives say it , ya know

"SAC ra mennoo", we never say the "t"

and i love that he says "Mom thanks for flying-in all-the-way from "SAC ra mennoo" as opposed to "driving-in". On the money!

And anytime you meet up on holidays or just anywhere out of the way, the first questions are always, "How was traffic?" "Which freeway did you take?"

The bros from "Inside SoCal" were better because of their authenticity. .

Who cares, I don't. When these skits were made the stereotypes were over 15 years old, its still funny,

Let's admit it, very little about todays culture is funny, nor original, nor of quality.

Omg Chim,
You are so right about Sacramenno.
I’m not a local but I’m (or was) 75 miles away and have heard it said that way since forever.
Good catch .
