When all else fails scream racist. Typical.

Snowflakes are soft people, usually used to describe the 'safe spacers' and its use has zero implication of race.

"People" being synonymous for "Americans" and "arbitrary" only being applied if the criteria do not favour America

We understand completely.

If you need to elaborate to explain what something means after being called out on its use, you probably shouldn't have used it to begin with. For a man who "tells it like it is" such as Trump was he sure had to explain what he meant many times in the last year.

In that case, fortunately for the Canadian cities, Canada is not the U.S. End of discussion

Return2FL: I'm mystified why you would come to the Canada forum to complain about U.S. cities. Are you looking for sympathy from foreigners?

Pay attention. Canadian cities were compared to American cities. My initial comments were directed toward the need of some to dictate their own version of proper development for Toronto and somebody else dragged American cities into the discussion.

But some Americans have to understand that the terms liberal as an ideology isn't considered bad in Canada.
Most of our Conservatives would be considered liberal by Americans.

The pricing out of the middle-class in cities exists in Canada as well. It's not a liberal or even a conservative cause. It's a free market that is being just that. One that some are now asking governments to impose restrictions to control. The very opposite of what you seem to be proposing.

And while this thread is a fun concept, the reality is that a greater percentage of Canadians have immigrated to the US than vice versa. That is more telling than some disaffected Americans who can't stand the idea of not being able to impose their political will on other Americans and have never learned that things don't always go their way. Please take them Canada, please!
All countries have splits and divisions in regards to politics. That's usually a good thing. The split in Canada is not the same 50/50 that exists in the US.

We don't get to vote for our PM ( unless he is the MP for your riding ). We vote for the parties candidate. So many have and some still do, put the candidate they want above who may or may not be PM. Usually. This last election had some vote Liberal as a strategic vote because they didn't want Harper. It worked.

That said, the split is Liberals 39.5 % of the popular vote ( 184 seats ), Conservatives 31.9 %,( 99 seats )
NDP 19.7 % ( 44 seats ) BQ 4.7 % ( 10 seats ) Green 3.5 % ( 1 seat ).

This of course doesn't tell the whole story. On social issues such as abortion, gay marriage etc The Liberals, The NDP, the BQ and the Greens all agree. The Conservatives who were against gay marriage, have now voted to stop opposing it. Perhaps since it's been law since 2005 and opposition is pointless. Regardless, that split is now dead.

The fact that over 90 percent of Canadians would oppose Trump if he were running here ( he would never have gotten out of the gate though ) shows that Canadians are more like minded that their American counterparts.

Canadians moving to the US has NEVER been for political reasons. It's been certain schools, jobs and family.

Not the ones I know from London and Mississagua. They fire off some pretty good rants and are good bit to the right of me.
