NWS out of Greenville is saying that most of the accumulating snow for the Charlotte area will occur late evening into tonight. They have increased their accumulation forecasts along the I-40 corridor, west of I-77. They are seeing small accumulations in Forest City over into Hickory. Things may be going a little slower than expected, but they are holding their totals for our area at 2"-4".
A friend of mine just sent a picture from ATL, with heavy snow falling now. He has lived there for 10 years, and said he doesnt ever remember so much falling snow.
