^^^ This is the typical food truck in Charlotte. The one above is in North Charlotte, but most are located along South Blvd. FWIW, I've NEVER had bad food at one of these vendors. Some of these guys/gals are very good cooks (and clean too).
Because the vendor Nazi's uptown will not allow it or make it next to impossible. I would suggest you do a lick of research before getting to excited about a food truck uptown.
The "regulation" of food trucks around the nation right now is in transition, and no one really seems to know how to handle them. In Charlotte IMO it got a little heavy handed with the trucks, and they don't really have anything for them.
I may be part of opening a food truck around Charlotte's uptown it will be more upscale fusion food. We shall see what happens.
Good luck in your endeavor. While you have to be realistic and should indeed do research, don't allow the negativity of others to put a damper on your plans.
