First off even if that was true, people that live here now would still have the advantage. And, what if the "other" person was indeed more talented, should they be denied employment? So in effect by discouraging people to move to CLT, well, that's not a good thing.

Next. Not everyone going to CLT is looking for a job. Case in point:me.Now I don't need or want a job but if I was to continue to read negative posts (and not do my own research) I would be hesitant to spend money here.
In the last 12 month period I bought 8 houses. Why would you want to put someone like me off?

Now for those that are planning to retire here: Negative news not good.
For those planning on building a business here (especially in retail) negative news not good.

I don't know but I don't think posting a sticky about negative news is productive.

BTW: If an opening at the Chamber of Commerce comes up...don't apply. LOL

I am sorry if this upset you, John. Here is another perspective:

Charlotte's popularity hurting job market (trying to post link, it does not want to work. see the my post about the unemployment for the link)

Above all, I would have not thought that you would want to sugar-coat things...

hahaha. Got a lot of work to get done today. After church & lunch, have to tackle creating an Access database for school. And, Brian, that might be easy for you but, I have never laid eyes on an Access database before.....with the exception of using an already created one!!

I may do some carpet cleaning today and paint some trim. Bristol today, rubbin' is racing', the track where tempers get hot! Hopefully it will be a good race today. Well, I best get started on chores.

Add to that the New York Rangers/Ottawa Senators game tonight at seven on the NHL Center Ice package. Once the flag drops at Bristol I'm couch bound, adult beverage in hand, until around 9:30 this evening.

You'll definately be leaving a divit in the sofa today! I think it's just about race time so must shut off the music and turn on some racin', woo hoo!

The master is complete! Painting done, just cleaned the carpet. Although tomorrow when I move the dresser and amoire I will have that little last spot since those pieces are way too heavy for me and I couldn't get tin foil under the legs. Then we can set up the bed and hopefully purchase some new mattresses soon. Ahh, what a project. It's what I wanted to do in our CA house and never got too. I am so happy!

We have been sleeping on our guest trundle bed and the other night the piece under my legs colapsed about 3:30 AM, I thought the dog hit the bed and I was like why are my legs not level with my body? Stupid thing. It will be so nice to finally sleep in a king size bed.
