I'm not a fan of new upscale subdivisions built in the middle of cornfields. Or the flashy new money type of residents that those type of new subdivisions tend to attract. But it's a really nice subdivision with some huge homes. You don't see that kind of concentrated wealth anywhere else in tinley park. And that entire subdivision is within rich central high school's attendance boundary.

Oh yeah, Barack H. Obama's long time reverend, Rev"god damn America" Wright, was building a house in there paid for by his church, but who knows if he ever moved in or just sold it and took the money and ran???

Excuse me. I'm gonna have to ask again. You DO know that we used to have a regular poster here with the username of Allen2323, right? And he especially posted on threads about the south suburbs. Are you the same guy? Why did you choose this username?

And this kinda sounds like something he would say. Are you Allen2323 with a new screen name or are you making fun of him?

Don't know how often this happens but it could shake your impression of it being a quiet sleepy community.Chicago Tribune

Well, there IS "urban warfare" in the south suburbs. Has anyone denied that? They're using hospital grounds in Tinley Park so they can practice before they actually use the new "urban warfare" techniques in other areas..

So it's OK to go to school with "worthless thugs"?!

There are bad apples in every high school. The biggest problem with Hillcrest is that like a North Shore high school, there is a complete lack of racial diversity. You can raise a well-adjusted daughter and give her a decent high school education and send her to Hillcrest though.. However, I'm glad that I was exposed to different cultures growing up. It's sad so many kids don't have that exposure.

You misread my post. I said Andrew is more desirable than TPHS. I did not know about those other possibilities though. Interesting.

The thing about Tinley is its really nice and seeing growth but it can be a pain to get too, depending on where you are coming from.
