$31/mo for electricty? I'm calling BS. Between basic meter charges and various taxes and fees, you're already paying over $20/mo before you ever consume a single kWh. And what's your total actual utility cost here versus in Texas? It seems a little too convenient you neglect to provide a heating cost comparison to go alongside your electricity cost comparison.

About seven cents vs. 12-15 cents or so per kilowatt hour.

That would be an fine answer if the question I had asked is "what's the cost difference per kWh in Chicago vs [insert location here]." What I actually asked is what is your TOTAL utility cost comparison.

According to the latest census figures, the hispanic population of Chicago is growing. I don't have neighborhood breakdowns though. And what does forcefully mean? Do you mean they may have sold their house and made a lot of money? They may not be able to afford a rent increase?

I'm not demanding anything, I'm asking a very simple question, which for some mysterious reason both you and the person I originally asked are conspicuously avoiding.

I'm on a short break from work right now and don't have the time to peck out a spreadsheet for you, just to demystify things for you a bit.

Oh, I see -- the real reason you can't answer the actual question is because it takes a spreadsheet for you to figure it out. Right.

A handy tip for you to consider: If you don't want to answer the question, the best way to not answer it is to just not respond at all. Your affirmative evasions aren't nearly as persuasive as you imagine them to be.

Sorry, Karen. I'm the manager on duty. You can call corporate and leave us a one-star review if you're unsatisfied.
