Police chiefs work directly for the mayor. They have to toe the line and balance that with standing up for their officers. Some are heavier on toeing the line from the mayor's office.

Its already happening. I'm ready to see some of these barbarians shot by US army snipers.

yes I was a young person in 1968.. I remember those riots.

Already too much damage has been done.. too late for the businesses that got burned and/or looted.

maybe or maybe not - water canons and dogs.. but nowadays those two items are considered RAYCIST .

now political correctness has tied the hands of police.

Im still with Trump. Dominate. my answer - Arrest them and don't let anyone bail them out.

form a line like the Roman soldiers do, where they form a line with shields, then walk and keep walking till the looters get shoved away.. but then they will go to the suburbs.

Arrest them yes.. lock em up for a long time.

don't give looters and arsonists a free pass to crime. Arrest.

If he is "toeing a line," then he deserves an Oscar on top of everything else.

is the mayor taking a wussy soft tone at how to handle this because of politics? like she wants people to feel like she is on their side (the protestors) but that is putting the citizens and businesses in danger.

in other words, she is being politically correct.

Notice when these politicians talk they ALWAYS put in the disclaimer like "We are on the side of peaceful protestors" as if this is the talking points that they must say in order to try to soothe the savages.

However, its not helping. they still are out there looting.

Just watched her "breaking news" interruption. As she toured some looted parts of Chicago she kept teasing us about "opening up for phase 3". Hilarious how they still wear their masks as Chicago burns. The whole mask thing imo is a huge enabler for the rioters. Anonymity.

Anyway, the good news Chicago is that we will open up for phase 3 tomorrow. Restaurant and business owners I'm sure are breathing a sigh of relief. Good job mayor and governor.

Kind of hard to reopen a business that has been looted, vandalized, and burned.

yep lets open things up so the rioters can come back and destroy it all over again. Great job mayor letting them do it the first time too.

Do you think that burglary is a capital offense? Where are snipers going to fire from? If from a residence, are you ready for your house to take return fire?

I think your post is very irresponsible.
