Stop this cancer before it spreads to any more "healthy cell" parts of the Chicago body.

I don't trust that things are gonna get back to "normal" too soon. not only the shop owners and restaurants have to just do normal opening up, now they have to repair damaged windows and restock everything, after they take inventory and do a police report, and until they file insurance and those other things, they have to keep the evidence, they cant throw out the big stuff that was thrown into their store that broke the windows.. then the bridges coming to downtown are still up, no one knows when they'll be down. CTA and metra aint working yet normally, if at all, so now I estimate maybe a month before any real businesses like stores and salons and restaurnats can open.. otherwise, anything they do now, if thers more looters, it'll be just torn down again. I don't know what i'd do, all they can do is clean up so far.. but it might happen again.

I started reaching out to the good store and restaurant owners that have always been good to me in my visits down there, and offered to come down and help them out however I can.

Its not one or the other. There are protesters, looters and rioters. Each is different.

I don't want armed warfare in the streets. I don't want looting but I don't want people dying because they were looting.

Do you think that from your house you can legally shoot someone breaking into your garage, i.e. committing a burglary?

Robert9. Thank you. The point is, the good people need to take action to COUNTER the atrocities that are happening.

If some breaks into my house while I am there and does not immediately comply with my order to surrender and makes any threatening move then yes I will use whatever force is necessary to neutralize the threat.
