This is actually a lie of Satan, designed to keep people complacent and oblivious to God’s very purpose for man in this life: “That we enter into the eternal spiritual life and relationship God offers all through Jesus Christ. Sadly, many will refuse God’s offer and will not receive true life or enter into God’s eternal kingdom … now or forever.

While all people are naturally born into this world as God’s creation, only those who believe and trust God for true life in Christ Jesus … are ‘born again’ as God’s ‘adopted’ sons and daughters (through the indwelling power of God’s Holy Spirit). Those without Christ are not born again to Spiritual life and do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. To them, the things of God are foolishness, because they are spiritually discerned (2 Cor 2:14-15) --- Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3), “Unless you are born again, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven” --- He did not say, “But, not to worry; if you are not born again, our ‘loving God’ is sure to make many exceptions.”

Just a few of many Bible passages that affirm our choice in this ‘adoption’ include: “Come out from among them … and I will be as a Father to you (2 Cor 6:17-18); “You are of your father the devil (John 8:44); “Those without the Son, have neither the Father or the Son” (1 John 2:23); “…that we might receive the adoption of Sons (Gal 4:5). There are many other examples, but, the bottom line is that spiritual rebirth and ‘adoption’ into God’s family is the only basis for spiritual life and relationship with God … in this life or the next.
So it is our choice to get adopted? Yes? Then we are responsible for our own salvation. That means, if we wanted to, we could boast in heaven.

Took me over 30 years to figure this out...God doesn't give a hoot what label we give ourselves or others, there is only one thing that matters to God, only one. And that one thing is LOVE.

This is not a message in support of UR, it's basic christianity.
pcamps, why are you trying to persuade or convince Mr Horton of these things if you believe he already is God's Child and saved?

Probably because there are many out there who think God hates them. Probably because there are many out there who hear all the loud, loud, loud, LOUD voices of how God thinks that they are vile trash and is ready to cart them off to an eternal torture at any moment... and perhaps they hear little else. All the screaming and foaming at the mouth from the pulpits... is perhaps all some people ever hear.

Maybe pcamps is being a voice trying to help people realize that their Creator loves them.

The amount of MISERY and SUFFERING in this world caused by religion, and by people not understanding the LOVE of the creator... it's too much to even fathom.

You too were dead in trespasses and sin ILNC, so how on earth did you ever come to faith ?,God spoke into the depth of your being and quickened you, if he hadn't, you would still be dead in sin.

Yes, takes Faith of Christ Jesus to be a Son. Not all have that.

Doesn't God hate? I think God HATES. I think He Hates when those that try to preach righteousness leave void the need to DO righteousness. That preach that your saved as you are without need to conform to the deeds of Christ Jesus. I would HATE to live in this world if everyone claimed to Love Jesus Christ and continued to walk in sin more than I would if someone didn't believe in Christ and continued to walk in sin.

But if they are following the Word of God and pcamps is talking contrary to that then how are they going to be persuaded by him?

I am not trying to convince or persuade him of anything, just reminding him where he would be if God had not intervened in his life and drew him back to himself.

My Father never disowned me and the rest of my brothers when we went astray, just like the prodigal son's Father never did. Always was a son always will be.
