Again...claiming that the book IS ALL THE KNOWLEDGE THERE IS...is ludicrous given that there were HUNDREDS of gospels circulating at the time the bible we now have was put together...the four gospels we do have were anonymous and were assigned authors....you do KNOW this don't you???????

This is a HUGE ASSUMPTION on your part....where in the bible does it say that?????????? IT DOESN'T!

It says that it is useful for teaching and instruction...NOT THAT IT IS THE BE ALL AND END ALL OF THE KNOWLEDGE WE NEED TO KNOW...you are just assuming that. We have been given the SPIRT WHICH WILL GUIDE US INTO ALL TRUTH for a reason...there is no point in having the spirit if the bible is the only source that can tell us everything we need to know.

History has shown that man can teach us incorrectly. Jesus however never mentions that the scriptures used at the time (OT) were incorrect, and the NT writers admit what they wrote was not of their cleverness and such was considered scriptures.

The Bible is more than justan exotic collection of ancient documents; it is the unfolding of God's plan of salvation. To realize Christ is the center of Bible is to hold the key to understanding the scriptures as holy and precious from God himself.

The Spirit helps believers understand the Bible, but you said your spirit told you that the Bible contains "big fat lies", and that should raise every red flag in existance.

Is this more satanic stuff you're proud of? (which is your words)

God's power is stronger than the skeptics:
  • "the Scripture cannot be broken"
"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."
The Bible is all there is to need to know to have eternal life.

Yes it should...but those who are unwilling to open their minds...to critically examine their faith and exactly what they are believing in based on factual evidence...won't take notice. Go figure...

So when someone believes, God's wrath no longer remains.

And you know my position about decision theology. Therefore for God to be just in everything he does ..... God's grace is the reason for me to have faith and it is the fault of the unbeliever for rejecting \ not having faith.
Disagree. You are doing what you say below.

If you can only have faith and believe by God's grace, then it is 100% all of God whether one believes or not.

And when you ask questions that aren't addressed in scripture ... thing thing to do is to not to offor an IMO. That is going "beyond what is written".

I showed you in Romans 5 that all who were condemned in Adam will be made righteous in Christ. That means salvation even for those who have already died.

For the upteenth time, read Romans 5, without the blinders.

Absolute black or white assessments of ANYTHING humans have had their hands in is foolishness. The living and abiding "mind of Christ" is to say what is or is not trustworthy. WWJD is a true and correct method of testing the tamperings, misunderstandings and ignorance of our ancestors. God IS love and Christ manifested that love unambiguously and perfectly. Any excuses rationalizations and explanations for things that are counter to that perfect love (Evil) are products of human ignorance. The test is easy . . . WWJD in His perfect love, period.

There is so much harmony within the Bible, besides what has been clearly historically verified, that I could not downplay or malign the Bible even if I wanted to.
Does that include all the genocide, rape, pillage, slaughter, stonings, etc.?

This is in direct contradiction of Christ's word to us that we "need not any man teach us" and that the Spirit will teach us all we need to know. Christ abides with us and His Holy Spirit within guides us to what God has "written in our hearts.".
Right. But the Holy Spirit ministers through the Word of Truth. Jesus, in His high priestly prayer, prayed to the Father, saying, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth".
The Word of Truth is the word of Jesus Christ . . . HE is TRUTH so are HIS words . . . NOT prophets.

IF you ignore 2000 years of knowledge and understanding to retain the ancient ignorance of our ancestors as the only standard of truth . . . you stagnate in the ignorance and understand nothing.
Man can, indeed, teach us incorrectly. But this does not take away from the truth of God's Word.
If we read that all Scripture is God-breathed, then we ought not to think that only the words of Jesus are important. The whole Bible is the Word of Christ.
Then why would we need to properly divide the scriptures??? You ignore this requirement at your own peril with your black or white revering (idolatry) of the Bible.
