Faith in His grace will change a man, it's not a hard concept. It is God who works in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
To be quite frank the question of good works should be posed to ourselves and not others,do we really have complete faith in his grace that it's evident in our own lives, if it's not, it's only a matter of refocusing what our faith is in,and not beating ourselves or others up because they are not too.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in pcamps heart to give him the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.Pretty much the same way Abraham the Father of faith got is.

Notice where the Light shines out of too.
Where does the scripture say we get faith in this way? And where does it say Abraham got his faith this way? Is this what universalists believe? Just curious.

The verse I quoted should suffice for those who have eyes to SEE,where do you think Abraham got his faith? From a King James ?
I have faith in the Light of the world, this same Light of the world lit up my heart to reveal God's glory.....Jesus Christ. This my friend is how Jesus Christ the Light of the world brought me to faith. I understand this is hard for you to understand because it does not fit with your criteria of faith.
You've correctly cited Romans 10:17 as the way in which faith comes to an individual.
Pcamps' verse (2 Cor 4:6, shown below) has merit, as well.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
One who has been saved by the grace of God will certainly enjoy this blessing.
But, yes, "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God".
