No...it really wasn't. The Bible never really says that it was a good thing. To the contrary, Solomon is portrayed as someone that wandered away from God due to the pleasures of the world. He says as much in Ecclesiastes---he realizes that it's all for nothing.

Some of the most moral people I know are liberals.
Do you ever leave the confines of wherever it is you live so you can actually meet people and learn about them? Do you read? Do you acknowledge anyone who isn't a part of the religious right? Yes, liberals can be moral. Atheists can be moral. Pagans can be moral. Muslims can be moral. There's a whole world out there I suspect you know little of.
Why is porn consumption significantly higher in very conservative areas of the U.S.?

Two words: road trip.
DDI, anyone who is not a fundamentalist Christian is completely hellbound, ya know! Without a deity to worship in ones life, people are left to their own immoral sinful vices, completely lacking the ability to differentiate right from wrong, duh! In this sense, fundie Christians and hard core muslims are one in the same. Heck, according to the OT, everyone who is rich is also wicked. It seems not only to be about liberals. I consider myself a moderate conservative, and I'm hellbound along with everyone else. Stock up with your extreme summer wear, 'cause we're all headed to the same place obviously!

This makes no sense at all. Whether liberals are moral or not is irrelevant to the FACT that polls have shown that very conservative areas (think Red Bible Belt States) use porn substantially more than other areas (think generally liberal New England). I don't know what you were trying to accomplish, Vizio, but it looks like a failure to me.

Now Vizio, you judging ALL liberals as immoral based on what SOME flaming, militant liberals do is just as bad as any atheists judging ALL Christians harshly for what SOME fundamentalist Christians do.
