To restore what man(and the ladies)lost. His knowledge and awareness of God,the awareness of who he is in the eyes of God and the way of life God desires him to walk in( abundant life). The sin conscious can never comprehend this. Everything they think about Jesus as something to do with sin.
Would you include John the Baptist in that group?
John 1
John Testifies About Jesus
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
That is not a contradiction. If you can't follow the thought, then you(whoever you are)have not yet studied this topic to completion.
Let this be my official statement in it's most simple form I can come up with.
like I said you cannot me saved by works and the works that you do are inspired by the Spirit. I suppose that's another way of saying if you're not inspired to work you might want to Examine in your faith. At the same time there are plenty of people who never worked and yet are saved. I gave you the example of the guy on the cross. Other than that there isn't much of a disagreement. Not yet anyway

The emphasis was on Jesus Christ not sin. You evangelicals will get it one day, that your sin conscious mentality is not only effecting your walk with God and your confidence and standing before him, but takes the steam out of the furtherance of the good news.
It is not behold you sinners there is Jesus Christ the lamb of God.

The guy on the cross is the ONLY example you can give, and he was under a different covenant. Christ's covenant, at the EARLIEST started at resurrection.
Plus God can do whatever He wants. He makes the rules. And they are fair if He makes them.
If you don't have works, you don't have faith.
If you don't have faith, you can not have Grace.
If you don't have Grace what makes you think you are saved? Eph 2:8-10; James 2

If you don't have Love, You are not in God and HE is not in you.
If God is not in you, nor you in Him, what makes you think you could have salvation?
Agapao love, requires the demonstration, action, work to even BE Agapao love.

Gal 5:6, theology is not important, but faith working through love is. <<< PAUL<<<<<------=
It doesn't' say theology of course, but it explains the biggest theological available in the life time of Paul.
