Many Protestant Churches are not "bible literalists". MOST are not.

Mainline denominational churches such as Methodists, United Church of Christ, Episcopalians, *most* Lutherans, *most* Presbyterians, even most American Baptists and Disciples of Christ are not literal when it comes to the Bible.
