What could I expect from a Methodist church service?

If he has no devotion to Mary that narrows it down to the Episcopal CHurch, however, they also honor Mary.

Your understanding of Protestant churches is very narrow and skewed.

Not all Protestant churches are "bible literalist" as you put it. There is a huge spectrum.

Honoring Mary, and many other people in the Bible is normal. We don't pray to her though.

It does NOT pretty much leave the Catholic and Episcopal church. Do some homework!

Many Protestant Churches are not "bible literalists". MOST are not.

Mainline denominational churches such as Methodists, United Church of Christ, Episcopalians, *most* Lutherans, *most* Presbyterians, even most American Baptists and Disciples of Christ are not literal when it comes to the Bible.
