Jesus said, the Spirit of the Lord upon me....... When he said "Me", what was he referring to as being me?.
GINOLJC, to all.
many read not, nor hear nor
James 1:19 "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath".
"When he said "Me", what was he referring to as being me?".
Have you ever hear of a NUMERICAL DIFFERENCE? that's the ME, listen
According to Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, G243 Allos (Another) Allos expresses a numerical difference and denotes another of the same sort"
a numerical difference......... YOU and "ME" that's a numerical difference more than one, understand now.
so am I saying that there are two entity, the Father and the Son? YES, but not separate persons. yet two? yes, as the definition states, "SAME" SORT.
the Holy Spirit No flesh and bones, one entity. Holy Spirit "shared" in flesh and Bone, one entity.
one entity plus another entity = 2 entity, but "of"the SAME one "entity". scripture, Isaiah 63:5 "And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mineown arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me".
"I" + "Mine" = "ME" when shared in flesh and bone........... his "OWN" ARM. supportive scripture, Isaiah 53:1 "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him".
THE "ARM" of the LORD is JESUS, the "HE" that grows up before (him) the LORD. that's the "ME" when Jesus said, the Spirit of the Lord upon "me"
How simple. if one just read and hear and understand.

I love this post because you have supported it with scripture When i see your username i always think of an early 70's British band 10cc
I'm not sure about your answer, other than there was no scriptural suppport.
so you didn't understand the scriptural support of Isaiah 63:5 nor Isaiah 53:1-4 in relation to understanding who the "me" is in your scripture, "the Spirit of the LORD is upon me".
please tell me what you are hesitating or doubting about?.
