Jesus talks of judgment of the selfish disobedient groups , from Matthew 25: 41 ......and says ``Depart from me , you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels ``....... If these people were saved then they would not be going there , as the spirit from Christ which is needed for salvation is of a different spirit

The place were all our egos end up. But that cannot be true because it doesn't say that in the bible.

Nowhere, as God is not "omni" hypocritical.
Some are intellectually dishonest or corrupted.

Even though the Bible doesn't say we are saved from eternal hell fire and damnation if we don't believe in Christ, if the church teaches it you must believe it.
I would never give an opinion in a doctrinaire or arrogant manner from the primitive drives of the mind or ego.
It was never internalized at an early age, nor did I model the behavior of others. Somewhat of a nonconformist.

I never had the inclination, even as a child, to follow the "Pied Piper."

I prefer to make a conscious choice, knowing that "I reap, what I sow, or have sown."

Even at our worst God has our interest at heart, to reform us and cause us through His kindness to return to our true identity. It is never to threaten us with consequences, but to point us to the way of life. Throughout the whole of scripture we are called to look to that which is good, not that which is tainted and marred, do you know why that is ?.
Amen, pcamps! If only Christians would believe Jesus and NOT their religious leaders who remain under the veil of ignorance from reading the OT and misunderstanding God's true nature which Jesus revealed as unambiguously as possible. Only perverse humans are capable of making it ambiguous and corrupting His Gospel of love into one of vengeance and appeasement.

Fire away
Ok you want to be smart ... From the YLT

Isaiah 45:17
Israel hath been saved in Jehovah, A salvation age-during!
Ye are not ashamed nor confounded Unto the ages of eternity!
  • the ages of eternity! ....
    • question: when does this end?
Philippians 4:20
and to God, even our Father, [is] the glory -- to the ages of the ages. Amen.
  • the glory given to God is to the ages of the ages. ....
    • question: when does the glory given to God end?
1 Timothy 1:17
and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honour and glory -- to the ages of the ages! Amen.
  • only wise God, [is] honour and glory -- to the ages of the ages!
    • question: when does the honor and glory end?
Revelation 4:9
and when the living creatures do give glory, and honour, and thanks, to Him who is sitting upon the throne, who is living to the ages of the ages,
  • to Him who is sitting upon the throne, who is living to the ages of the ages,
    • question: despite giving glory honor and thanks to Jesus ........ when does Jesus who "lives from the ages of the ages" stop living?

It doesn't. When will you come up with a single scripture(not a scripture about hell) that clearly states that our salvation is salvation from hell? Why after all these years of being glued to your bible, you bibleans cannot come up with one single verse, proves that salvation from eternal hell is a hoax and believed by those who are in fear of God and never truly known is love and grace.

Few days ago you implied we must perform works in order to avoid punishment from God in the afterlife. This post of your seems to contradict the earlier one

Don't you find it odd that we believe Christ died for all the sins of all mankind but God, according to some Christians, is going to make you pay for your sins? You see something wrong with this picture?

Where does it say in the Bible that anyone will have to spend eternity in the lake of fire? Some translations only have "for ever and ever" (the Bible says all the evers end) and some: "for the ages of the ages" and one "for the eons of the eons." It can't be eternal.
Then can someone please explain Rev 21:8?

Rev 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable , and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Based on the way the OP defines salvation, it does not sound like he believes it has anything to with afterlife. Rev 21:8, however, is about afterlife.
