The "sons of God" is also referenced in Job 1:6. My bible has an annotation about "the sons of God" being a divinecounsel. It seems that the majority of scholars and theologians agree that the term "sons of God" (in the sense of Job) is referring to angels.

We have all heard or said the statement "There's something missing in our lives". If something is really missing then it's lost, it is also something we have all once had too. What we lost is the peace that comes from the reality of knowing our true identity.
Yes. The angels are called the sons of God because they are the image of God. They exist with Him in heaven above, and serve him as a son does his father.
Sure. Just the same as we have words in our language that are spelled the same and pronounced the same, they could mean different things, depending on the context.
I am referencing that of a figure of speech (i.e., singing, dancing, shouting, etc.). A figure of speech is a word or phrase that possesses a separate meaning from its literal definition. It can be a metaphor or simile, designed to make a comparison. It can be the repetition of alliteration or the exaggeration of hyperbole to provide a dramatic effect.

Sure.
The word "bat" can either mean a flying mammal or "an implement with a handle and a solid surface, usually of wood, used for hitting the ball in games such as baseball..."
The word "bark" can mean the outer layer of a tree or the sound a dog makes.
The word "cabinet" can either mean a wooden storage area or can refer to a committee of advisors.
The prodigal was never adopted, he was always a son.
Always..... even before the writer of the John epistles declared..... Behold what manner of love that the Father as bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God.
From the mouth of most Christian's you will never hear them say they are sons of God, they are far more comfortable with confessing "I'm just a poor miserable sinner saved by grace" . So if that is the case, how the heck are they ever going to believe and identify with who they really are , the sons and daughters of God ?...
