YOU'RE KIDDING? Cause I'm serious. I think the guy needs some serious help getting back to reality. He has totally convinced himself that Augusta is a place it is not. Very sad.

Oh, but we're to believe that they are something special for Augusta...riiiiiiight.

Don't try to downplay the rankings now since you've been throughly disproved on the ridiculous notion that Augusta can go "toe to toe" with Raleigh in this regard. Augusta can't hold a candle to Raleigh. I'm sorry dude, but Augusta is seriously outmatched when it comes to both Raleigh and Richmond--less so with Madison, but I still think it comes out better in most respects than Augusta.

You want a city to compare to thats around the same size?. Take a look at Huntsville, AL.
I think you need to give up the argument while you have some credibility left.. This is what I said earlier in the thread... I can tell you didn't actually ''visit'' Augusta, but just stayed near I-20..

Lol, People walk and bike daily from Downtown Augusta to North Augusta, SC in five/ten minutes.. The 13th and 5th street bridges connects the two.. The Jessie Norman ampitheatre is located downtown and the houses are in North Augusta, SC...

I-520/Palmetto Pkwy was completed in 2009(the SC portion) and connects to I-20 in Aiken County, SC.. There's also Gordon Hwy which turns into the Augusta-Aiken Hwy....

Nortonguy why is it so hard for you to understand that Augusta is not in the same league as the three other cities you are trying to compare it with??.

Maybe we should start a thread that compares Augsuta with metros that are half or less than a third its size? It could go something like this: Augusta vs. Tuscaloosa AL, Florence SC and Jackson MS.

We could do Augusta vs Wilson,NC. That may be a bit out of Augusta's league.

Jackson is about the same size as Augusta. Substitute Biloxi instead.

we have to give at least one that's the same size. That would only be fair.
