It comes down to NOLA vs KC AND STL. Outside the cities both the states are pretty meh IMO. So if it comes down to the cities, it's really a 2 on 1 comparison. Which I imagine is why MO is winning by such a wide margin.

The fact that NoLa can take on two cities I think says something about NoLa itself. I know a lot of people love visiting and couldn't live in NoLa though. I could totally live there.
Incorrect. I believe you chose a poor limb to go out on as your statement seems to display an obvious lack of experience here(no disrespect). New Orleans' unique and contrasting architectural styles are infamous in Uptown, the Garden District, Irish Channel, Mid-City & Esplanade Ridge, Gentilly, Algiers Pointe and so on...
On your next visit, please venture outside of the Quarter and discover the real New Orleans...the one that we live in.
I've lived in both, I'd give a slight edge to St. Louis overall in architecture but neither are dominating.

It's only taking on two cities because the thread is for the states (which is kind of insulting to the rest of the places in the states...).

I've never been to STL so I'm neither voting or comparing. My post was simply correcting and expounding upon egregiously false information which, if you once lived here as you've stated, you'd have to agree is inaccurate.
Nobody willingly vacations or looks forward to conventions in St. Louis (unless you are stuck in the Midwest and have no choice).
But Missouri does have a potent trump card - Branson. And all these years I thought it was spiritually in Arkansas.....
Not you said Branson was better than St. Louis though...okay.
