I don't get all this eastcoast hatred of Los Angeles.
I don't get it either. I guess they just don't know any better. Los Angeles is a world class city IMO. If you want good music venues, theaters, cultural events, great food, nice museums then yes, L.A. has all these. In a city with so much to see and do, I don't know why some people hate L.A. maybe they prefer small town living? But if it came down to living year round in Miami vs. Los Angleles, I'd still want to be in L.A.

Miami can't compare to LA. Miami is too small. It would be better to compare Dade County to Los Angeles.
Ignorance and jealousy? I can assure you I am not jealous. Coming from the Soviet Union, from Moscow, and we are in America, in NEW YORK CITY free as birds. It is a giant step up for my family so to be jealous of LA when I am so happy in NY and Miami would be stupid of me.
Ignorance. You do not know the half of my family's life from the oppression of the former Soviet Union to immigration to NY and achieving the American dream from hard work. Do not talk to me about ignorance.
Now lets see Miami.

Whatever. No I am not. I am not jealous of a nightlife that is not as good as the 2 I get in NY and Miami. If I wanted to I could move to LA right now.

I am late but yes Miami. We have a condo in Miami and we go down there every while and enjoy the beautiful ocean, beautiful women, beautiful cars, beautiful palm trees, beautiful tropical paradise like a big party. I can wear a white shirt, sunglasses, shorts, flip flops, and have a cigar from Little Havana and have a good time! I like Los Angeles for movies but who cares about being there it is not that warm for the water and the hills are brown.
