NY has swamps too. Florida has nothing but swamps.

Tropical beaches and shallows are beautiful, but the majority of Florida is this flat, depressing trash heap. NY has its open sores, but there's a lot going on around them too. Even in the most run-down, meth labbed, redneck corner of NY there is still a ton of natural scenery around it.

I have to go with NY on this one. Florida is better if you are a wealthy urbanite, kinda sucks if you just love the small town life.

That said, Miami is more appealing to me than NYC is.

I could never live in NYS for the adverse reasoning some of you say you could not live in Florida. Completely subjective thread.

If you like insanely hot weather, great beaches, natural springs, lots to do, low taxes, stronger 2nd amendment rights, and living with #FloridaMan nearby, then you might prefer Florida.

On the other hand, if you would rather live in freezing conditions, have mountains nearby, not as many attractions, and very high taxes/COL, more restrictive government in general, then you might prefer NYS.

NY isn't freezing all year and there are plenty of attractions throughout the state. Cost of Living varies quite a bit depending on where you are within the state as well. There are natural springs in NY. Hence, places like Saratoga Springs, Richfield Springs and Sharon Springs.

It was near 100 degrees last month in NYC.

Those "freezing conditions" though

What do you mean "not as many attractions?"
