The Pac12 has showed out so far this season. The big miss was Colorado not being able to finish against A&M. Clemson and OSU are out. If Oregon and UCLA can keep it up, the winner of them will be in the playoff.
I'm not going to say OSU is out yet, the Big 10 will give them opportunities to get marquee wins, whether the defense rounds into form by then is another story. I think Clemson could shut out their remaining opponents and they'd be out, that's how bad the ACC is. As they say in real estate: Location, location, location!! The Big 10 & Pac 12 have it this year, so OSU is still in, Oregon unless they lose really late is not done, the ACC doesn't have it at all.

I would agree. Ohio State still has a chance. If they win out in the conference and Oregon is right there in the top ten with 0 or 1 loss Ohio St does not look bad with that one loss. It depends on how many undefeated teams exist at the end. If say, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon and Cincy are all undefeated. Ohio St is out.
He hangs on. But my personal opinion is he is not long for the program. Might hang on into 2022 but I doubt he survives past that. Don’t like the direction of the program. UW can do much better.

Losing to Arizona, perhaps the worst power 5 team would have been it. But barely beating them is not good either. They are 3-4. Looking at their schedule. They could go 3-2 and get a bowl game. That might be enough for Lake to survive another season. But Colorado is the only team the will likely beat. So they could end up 4-8. I think he would be fired with that record.
They have to finish 3-2 to finish 6-6 which as OB said might just be enough to save his job. You have to think Oregon (even at home) is a loss, and Colorado (even on the road) is a win, so then you have to go 2-1 in the other 3 games: Stanford (road), and Arizona State and Washington State both at home. That's gonna be tough. I think they'll have to win either the Stanford game this weekend or upset Oregon next weekend. They could lose them both and win out but they have Arizona State the week after Oregon, so I could see it going off the rails there.
Another rough year for the Pac-12. Oregon is the lone top 25 team. I think they belong in the top 25 but not so sure they are anywhere near #7 in the country. Outside of Ohio St. (who has yet to play another top 25 team and perhaps is overrated also) Oregon has had a lot of close pac-12 games and a loss to Stanford. USC, UCLA, ASU and Washington have all been in the top 25 but have struggled at times.
Nice win for the Huskies tonight but a very ugly game to watch, especially here on the East Coast where it didn't end until 2 AM. But now they only have to win 1 of Arizona State or Washington State to get bowl eligible.
Huskies blow lead. Coaching situation is in turmoil. Program in crisis. AD under pressure.
