Pueblo finally got snow and not rain. It ranged from a dusting at my house to a few inches in other parts of the city. I will post a picture tomorrow.

And the third half just left the valley, same story. Winter weather advisory in Mesa County until noon today. Over the last couple days the three snows we got combined here only amounted to an inch and a half of snow at the most.

Snowed on and off Saturday and Sunday but only received 2" (foothills west of Boulder). Temperature went down to 2 degrees last night -- the last 1/2 inch of snow is beautifully sparkly and glittery.

As promised here is my picture of the light snow storm last Saturday. This is City Hall/ Memorial hall in downtown Pueblo by the Riverwalk.



It is snowing again today so I will try and get some more pictures to post by tonight.

I think the storm is over but I went to Pueblo West and they had more snow then the city so I took 3 pictures.

For those finding this Colorado winter rather weak, more interest may be had with the recent snowstorm on the East Coast. Admittedly its relation to Colorado is rather thin, although a few lessons can be learned in the skill of the forecasting, the changing nature of these storms (this being unusual in severity for that region), the closure of roads and inability to travel and commensurate need in prior preparation for food, etc., and the continuing aftermath. I'm thinking of the major snowstorm several winters ago in Colorado that closed DIA and prevented resupply of grocery stores temporarily.

Several snowfall records were broken, such as Portland, Maine with over 30" inches of snow. But Connecticut tended to be the most heavily affected. Not to mention having one of the best ongoing threads of this event of the several states affected. This thread begins on February 6, a couple days before the storm, so many pages are initially devoted to conjecture of what is coming. While one might begin anywhere they like, I've referenced this beginning on the evening of February 8, when the storm already underway—so a realtime account of that ongoing. Scattered throughout this thread are many interesting pictures, as well as a number of charts and graphs. For instance, post #571 shows snowfall totals for the region. Maybe next time Mother Nature will send some of that snow this way (and, if so, some may still complain in having to find and dig out their car):
