Correction: this particular piece of land isn't as far down Bluff Road, and it is in the city limits. Duh - if it weren't it wouldn't be on the City's agenda. I wonder if it will be a lower-rent complex than the ones in Innovista. If so, potential occupants would have to weigh the pros and cons.
I noticed that, too. At least it will add to the city proper population figures; we need to stay number one in the state and with Charleston annexing like crazy, that could be in jeopardy in the next 10 years. I prefer our infill and densification efforts, though. I hope all development in the original 4 square miles will be dense.

Charleston is annexing like crazy? Isn't it pretty boxed in by either water or other municipalities?
Meh, not crazy about the look either. They look like a dumbed down version of the Canalside Lofts. One of the larger apartment developments announced so far, just more sprawled out rather than multiple stories. Looks like it'll just be 3 stories.
Looks just like another suburban apartment complex built anywhere. Yawn. Make it 15+ stories and I will be happy.
A 15 story building in this area would look silly. I would not want to live out here as a student but............since Carolina purchased all of that land for intramural fields, could be fun. Still would want to live close to the Historic Horseshoe.
