Though a little dated it shows what their target customer is(annual income of 70,000+)
They do have on their website a list of stores that are being built.Closest to Columbus is Cumming,Ga and Moblie,Al opening this summer.

My personal thought is that Costco will not be in Columbus, atleast not anytime soon.
With 5 walmarts,1 Sams 18 dollar stores,16 family dollars,6 dollar trees.Columbus seems to have a
pattern of cheap generic stores. Which are here because they thrive(columbus median income 46,000)
Ever heard the saying clutter breeds clutter?

They will be in Columbus soon. A lot people probably don't remember this, but Phenix City had a Wal-Mart before Columbus. It took years for Columbus to get a Wal-Mart. Even Target came here before Wal-Mart.

Oh...but it's very true. We didn't get most of these big stores until we build a new mall.
