Yes, like last week, I spoke WAY too soon....precipitation line ended up moving significantly south

NWS seems to suggest big ice storm between 287/Merritt and I-84 coming up, more in the way of snow north of 84, but coastal CT getting a change from ice to rain tomorrow (but probably too late for the morning rush.......)

It has pretty much stayed as all snow here in the Hartford western suburbs. Temps have hovered 15 -17 F, vs. 30 F in NYC...quite the contrast.

Not much going on in Branford - a little freezing rain, that's about it.

They keep saying something about an ice storm away from the coast.

For the weather guys out there, I know ice is slippery, but how bad can 1/4-1/2" of ice really be?

Hey
I was wondering who would you call to have your roof cleared. I have a cape style house with the very slope roof in the front and the less slanted angle in the back. I am not sure how to get up there and clear it myself since my ladder will not reach to the top in the back and the front is so slopped. There is between 1 and half to two foot drifts in some spots towards the top other wise much less amounts in the fronts. The back is probably about 1 and half feet(my guess from looking at it).

The funny thing is this is my first winter here in CT and I keep getting told that winter is not usually like this

Thanks

I'm putting a kibbosh on the ice storm. Giving it the evil eye. I HATE ICE!

Even 1/8" is bad -- for driving, walking, shoveling. It's just nasty.

Hiya neighbor. I'll take the 6" of snow if "they" put a hold on more snow and the ice stuff.

I'm holding up a sign that says, "We're done. Thanks for visiting, Winter. See ya next year."
