Hot, Humid, Isolated storms after 2pm. Hard to know exactly when or where they will pop up. After Sunday things change to dry and cool.

It's so humid right now my envelopes didnt need licking. I cant keep the windows open for more than 3 hours in the morning otherwise the inside temp & humidity rise quick!.. (5-8am is it)

No chance of rain Cam! Humidity is dropping fast and there isn't any formation to the West. Very remote.

Ligthtning was intense visible from Westport. In fact stars were out with lightning in the sky from the Storm over Greenwich and Port Chester. They got hit hard. Ton of rain. Very spotty here and there. Stamford got a little rain this afternoon.

1.11'' precipitation in Merrimack County, NH today. The humidity is still too high for my liking and I'm hoping the cooler/drier pattern change for next week verifies. It will be nice to have lows in the lower 50s again.

It was 20 mins of heavy rain with a distant rumble of thunder here at 9:45pm. That said, I stand by my comment that storms after 2pm was a jumping the gun and heeding that advise would have an opportunity cost of 8 clear hours.

Same here. A few moderate rainshowers and that was about it.

Jumped the gun on what? The chance of thunderstorms was 20-30 %. You stated no worries on T-storms...that was jumping the gun in actuality. Sure it wasn't widespread but it happened because there was still instability.

Now with a northwest wind and a stable air mass, if you want to say no t-storms today I will hop right on that wagon.

There was an extremely low probability of storms during the daytime hours, which is exactly what transpired. No need to bring up the 2pm timeframe.
