I forgot about another zoning change that connects the Design District area of the Town Hall to the Long Hill Village area (the two blue areas on the map). The zoning laws were changed for Main Street that connects those two areas. If a house fronts Main Street you can now put businesses in them and they are going to encourage people to open little shops in the historic houses, eating places etc but the house needs to stay historic. The zoning for this is to happen is all done and passed. Now it is just a matter of time for it to happen and take shape. I don't know how long it will take but trust me, it will happen.

A few years back before the zoning changes took place they put all new sidewalks in place from The Town Hall area to the area that is to be the Long Hill Village area. I guess they wanted the sidewalks in place before they changed the zoning. Here is another thing that took place within the last few years. There are now bus stops all long Main Street between the Town Hall and the Long Hill Village area. I have been watching all the infrastructure for this to happen so it is no surprise to me that these zoning changes came along right after. All these changes to the Upper Long Hill area are happening right after another with a distinct purpose.

Of course this will not be anything like Fairfield because Trumbull residents want to retain the quiet charm & character of our town.
