I didn't say secret. If experts are feeling optimistic but don't want people to revert to crowds, they're going to be cautious in the near term.

My predictions

CT will have over 3,000+ cases with 75-100 deaths then things slow down in second week of April the state economy will slowly re-open businesses will open with reduce staff and some places will be close for good. The first or second week of May the economy is at 90% of state economy is open.

50-60% would be devastating. I don’t think it will be nearly that bad.

In 7 days, 100k in Ct, with just 1% US population, have filed for unemployment.

Experts expect US filings to be anywhere from 2.5 to 5 million in this one week.

Hospitals btw will be next potentially seeking bailouts, as elective surgeries being put off are profitable, and subsidize their often more benevolent, unprofitable segments.

Cuomo said experts suggest apex in 14 days. We need to function as much as possible right through it. This is unprecedented territory, so assuming business will react like a simple downturn is not realistic. Many are in the same fight to survive as the small % of patients in ICUs are. Lets hope they make it.

I am optimistic because these are jobs that can be rapidly rehired when the data shows this threat is not as bad as once feared. Most of them are part-time or hourly workers.

Once again, the VAST majority of these are temporary due to nonessential business shutdowns as we temporarily hunker down and self isolate for the Coronavirus. Once this passes, most will get their jobs back. We can’t forget that. Jay

In the midst of this crisis, there is still some very good news for our state. Once again Connecticut ranks No. 1 for personal income in 2019 with an average of $79,087 per worker. That’s an increase of 3.2% which is well above the rate of inflation. What’s even more impressive is that we are more than $4,000 higher than No. 2 Massachusetts with $74,967. Great news. Jay
