Wait, why is it a mainly a one-county issue? I’m not in CT anymore but aren’t the ordered closures state-wide? Won’t restaurants, gyms, casinos, etc be affected largely equally throughout the state?

This will disproportionately affect a few regions. Sadly, we are in one of the epicenters. However, even in Ct, it is mainly a one county issue, so far. In that county, unemployment will soar with basically all things that are "wants" closed. (I am using the term want for restaurants, bars, fitness clubs, and entertainment options). Hopefully we starting seeing a downward slope on new cases quicker than anticipated, so the affected can return to work.

Yes. Has nothing to do with the county.

But the economic damage will be felt far wider than just FFC. This is not a one county, one state or one region event.

69 out of 96 cases is in Fairfield County the state could reach nearly 200 by week end as more tests come out

“The Department of Labor has fielded more than 40,000 new claims since Friday evening, including 12,000 Wednesday, compared to only about 2,500 over a typical week.”

Yes the transmission rate is not linear. Plus what are the numbers in Mass and RI? FFC if walled off would not protect you....

Exactly. There are people in every town in CT who have or have had it without even knowing it.
