Guys, NWS New York usually posts there records on twitter:

Islip, NY
Daily record min high temps set or tied at Islip, NY yesterday (19 tied 19 set in '03 and'13) and today (18 breaks 19 set in '87 and '11) Islip has had 3 days in a row of record min maxes.

Bridgeport, CT
Daily record min high temp tied at Bridgeport, CT today. 20 degrees tied 20 set in '63 and '87.

JFK
Daily record min high temp tied at JFK today, 19 deg tied 19 set in '87.

Misc
- Looks like the 3rd day in a row where max temperatures will not reach 20 degrees in New York City.
- 2pm temperatures are in the middle and upper teens with generally single digit wind chills. Third straight day of afternoon temps in teens.

That's pretty cold for New York City...

Cam usually stays silent when something is brewing... He doesn't want to jinx it. LOL

Wow! Big signals for an even bigger colder outbreak beginning of Febuary. I am sure Cam can fill everyone in with the graphics and more details.

Models are showing a HUGE reload in artic air beginning of February. In fact I just took a look at the GFS. The last 3 days of its range Feb 6th-9th. It is showing singe digits for highs and below zero for lows!

lol. Just taking a break from weather. Trying to absorb some of this. I haven't gone above 20 in 3 days now.

The snow we have on the ground is still powdery. Its rare to get that when falling in CT let alone days later. But we're losing some snow to evaporation and sunlight because the flakes are so tiny and feathery

Yes, snow on Super bowl Sunday. Nothing else to mention. 1-3" events for us no big deal.

Max temp forecast tomorrow and Sunday.

6:10am Temps and Radar. Here comes the snow. Should start by Lunchtime for us. Expect some squalls to happen with reduced visibility.

And Worth it to point out that winds are gusting 15-30mph from Minnesota to Kentucky to Maine

11:25am Radar. Looks like after the first wave we'll get a break before the main batch moves in. I doubt that will fill in. Maybe.

Judging by the snow reports looks like 1-3" is the general idea with isolated 4" amounts. Should be snowing over Litchfield county right now

So looks like 1-4", nothing to bad but with the warmer temps it could be a little heavier snow and with the everything still frozen hard could be messy later.

Looks to be a quick burst for western sections. We will see if the line holds up past I91 and beyond.

Looking into the long range, looks like the frigid air will eventually lift out by next weekend. We go into relaxation pattern, where things may be more rainy and mild than they had been, then by the middle of February, cold and snow looks to return with a vengeance.
