Looks like 4-6 inches of snow tops. Lift that travel ban. Our economy is stifled enough as it is.

Good learning tool looking back at what I was seeing that may have been the answer to the results.... Feel free to point other stuff out that might help.

Yesterday 7am.

Apparently my eye caught that in the middle of the excitement, storm was like 300 miles off Shore. Too far out! I think it followed the path of the warmest waters. I don't know.

Like I said...should be snowing most of today but lightly.

Big bust here in North Granby. We only got a couple of inches. The biggest issue is the wind.

We still have some heavy snow & wind here in East Lyme, but it's hard to judge the snowfall totals here with so much drifting. On my back deck, I have over 2 feet of snow piled up against the slider to the deck. However, the other side of the deck is barely covered.

Front windshield on my car is still mostly clean and unobscured by any snow. Meanwhile in the back yard, there's over two feet of snow on my garbage can lid.

On the bright side, only 8 households in CT without power. Looking beyond, this may be the single biggest dud in the history of NY/NE meteorology.

GFS/NAM OWNED the Euro. Plain and simple. Track was further OTS.

I've never seen so much hype for a 6-12 inch event(for western areas) and some 40 mph gusts. Typical noreaster. I see bare ground out there in spots and 2 foot drifts. Remember the feb 2013 blizzard? You couldn't even see the cars!

No reason for school to be closed on Wed for most of CT.

Never thought a foot of snow would be considered a "bust". LOL!! I have 7 inches on the ground of fresh snow. Upton slowly lowering the totals but its still snowing and I don't see why we cant get to 10+ here before its over.

heading out to shovel.

No complaints here. Lol I don't need 3 feet. I am happy with what I got. Sure beats looking at brown grass.

Moving on and focusing on the next few storms and cold. lol

Looked out at my deck this morning. In my eyes this is not a bust.
