Default Questions for you

Where in Az are you coming from? I used to live in Az, and currently live in central Ct. I think Hartford is an alright city. Could be as boring or exciting as Az. Just depends on what you're looking for. I miss having a pool and the warm weather and the hiking in the desert. The crime is somewhat comparable, imho. Hartford will have lower rent, but there are other towns on the outskirts that you could consider. Can you supply some more info. as to what you're specifics are? Do you have kids? lifestyle, etc.

I am not aware of any places that allow living in a RV. Maybe some of the trailer parks in the more rural area. That said, we would need more information on what you are looking for in a community. How far from Hartford do you want to be? There are so many great places to live around here. More information would help us help you. Jay

Tombstone is not very hot. It is situated at a fairly high elevation (4,540 ft.) so it is cooler than Tucson and considerably cooler than Phoenix. Here are the monthly averages for Tombstone. The average high temperature for the hottest month in Tombstone is 95° F but it is 107° F in Phoenix. Since Tombstone has a semi-arid climate with very low humidity during the hottest month, June, the 95° F high would feel cooler than a lower temperature in a city with a humid climate.

I would not recommend that anyone move in Hartford without first seeing the area and spending some time in it. Fortunately, within driving distance of Hartford are some wonderful communities with New England charm. There are some really nice places to live, so no matter what it costs I really recommend coming up and staying in a hotel for a week to look around. You might save yourself a fortune by doing so.

I hate to break it to you, but the rest of the country doesn't split hairs about what section of the city they live in. You'll never hear someone from Atlanta say I'm from "Dunwoody". If you ask someone just 3-4 miles from DT Hartford where they are from they'll say "Wethersfield" I'm pretty sure the OP and more current poster was talking about the Hartford area, and not within the tiny city limits. I could be wrong, but that's my take.

Boring? Not to me! This weekend I had two excellent meals-- One at what I think is one of the best pizza joints in the country (Pepe's) and another at a great steakhouse (Michael Jordan's). I went to one of the largest casinos in the world-- which is just :45 minutes from my front door in Vernon. Tomorrow I will fly non-stop to Ft. Lauderdale from the what is, in my opinion, one of the most convenient airports in the country. When I return after Thanksgiving, I'll be walking on our town's rail-trail, and making a day trip to New York City. I'm also going to a professional hockey game in Hartford and meeting friends for coffee in West Hartford.

I'm going to shop till I drop in near-by Holyoke, MASS and outlet shop on the coast in Clinton.

I actually pay LESS for my modern 1 bedroom than I did in Austin, Texas. I love the quiet, bucolic nature of the community where I live and the fact that within 2 hours I have Boston, New York City, etc.

If you're bored here-- It's your fault.

I will be relocating to the Hartford Area from Louisiana. I will be working for GE in Plainville. I am 22 years old and single looking to meet new people and have some fun while also being comfortable and safe in my place of living.

I heard West Hartford area is a good place to live for someone in my age group, but I have also heard it could be dangerous?

I want to spend roughly around $900 for rent per month.

Does anyone have any suggestions as far as where I should move to and maybe some specific apartment names?
