Doubt 70. Maybe. but the million dollar question is......... Will the warmth be sustained and the pattern flip?
I don't think so. I think it's quick in and out and back to cooler or normal weather.

Latest GFS temp for next Saturday. (8 days away)

Actually those upper 70s to near 80 on that chart in places like Buffalo and Pittsburgh makes me wonder if we see those temperatures next Sunday (I noticed that often but not always yesterday's weather there is today's weather here given the typical west to east movement of weather). Or does the obviously cold waters made a bit colder by recent temps kind of temper that off a bit?

I guess you didn't "get" the point of my reply to Cambium.....there are two reasons:

1) In spring it is often during "warm spells" warmer in the daytime than in areas much further inland because the ocean and Sound are still cold from wintertime and haven't warmed up as fast as the land and breezes off said water keep areas even somewhat near the coast a lot cooler. When I was living up in the Albany area in the late 1980s I remember a late March day that was in the low 80s there and it was only in the upper 60s in NYC and much of CT.

2) Weather (usually) goes west to east, mainly because that's the direction the jet stream flows and (which is much of why the former) the earth spins from west to east, generally moving air in that direction (yeah I know I simplified this). So places to the west of us often experience the weather we will get the next day. So if it is unusually warm in a place like Buffalo and Pittsburgh compared to us on a given day, one reason could be that we are getting that warmth the next day.

Thanks for explanation

Yup, look at the wind map at that hour (222). From the south, right over the cooler waters. Be lucky to hit 60s at the coasts but with airmass aloft very warm it might

GFS isnt HiRes so might not be picking up the immediate coasts well.

So NWS went from "2 to 4 inches" for Saturday this morning to "40% chance of light snow" (basically means a dusting).....I guess they are buying the south trend (for now?)

Now NWS has it as a rain/snow mix on the CT coast and just rain in NYC on Saturday....with a 30% of just a dusting in northern CT

Look how close we are to a full blown snowstorm Sunday morning as the front is off the coast.
