Best thing to do is pick a theory and make sure reality doesn't get in the way of it before you post it
Were you asleep when you posted that...I posted the facts...try to post something coherent.

Like I posted the facts are that the last year that Republicans controlled all 3 branches of the Federal Government the deficit was $161 Billion versus the last year Dems controlled all 3 branches the deficit was $1.4 Trillion....that's more than billions Democrats. Those are the FACTS!!!!

You do realize that the Obama administration had nothing to do with Obama.
Since 2009 there has been an urban myth that Obama created a program to provide free phones to low-income Americans at taxpayer expense. There is, in fact, a government program that will provide low-income people with a free or low cost cell phone. It was started in 2008 under George W. Bush.

The idea of providing low-income individuals with subsidized phone service was originated in the Reagan administration following the break-up of AT&T in 1984. (It was expanded and formalized by the Telecommunications Act of 1996.) The program is paid for by telecommunications companies through an independent non-profit, not through tax revenue.

Check the facts instead ofr being nursed by Fox News.

Again, all this thread proves is that this country is going to go nowhere fast and is simply Rome circa 378 AD. The blame game is getting us nowhere.

Folks would rather spend their time politically grandstanding than having frank, cordial, and honest discussions.

You. The budget for 2007 was passed with Republicans controlling the House, Senate and Presidency. Once the 2007 class enacted their horrific policies to take effect in 2008, the economy started falling...you're right about the end of 2007 when we could see the damage Nancy was going to have, the economy started crashing.

When the Dems controlled both branches of Congress in Bush last 2 years, they drove the economy into serious recession and then made it worse when they controlled all 3 branches in Obama's 1st 2 years of being President.

Some of you Liberals might not understand that a deficit of $161 Billion is much lower than $1.4 Trillion and you won't trust me but go ask your math professor about those numbers.
Right, because the economic meltdown of 2008 had absolutely nothing to do with that surge in government spending.

The budgets during the Bush years were a joke anyway--he kept his enormously expensive and failed wars off the books during his time in office. Obama actually put the spending on the books. They don't count the interest on those wars either, but they run in trillions now. Interest, or as I like to call it, Bush's gift to future generations. In fact, most of our current debt tracks back to his abomination of a presidency:

Last time our economy was really strong, coincidentally we had a Republican President, House & Senate.
I really hope you're joking here. The economy was NEVER strong under Bush, it was briefly propped up by an enormous housing bubble, but we all know that turned out.

Bush has the worst record on job creation in modern history.

The unemployment rate was 4.6% and debt was 161 Billion in when the Republican Congress and Senate handed the reigns over to Harry & Nancy. President's have little impact on the economy, it's the Congress that makes the budget, jobs bills, etc.

Still bragging about the pre-iceberg portion of the Titanic voyage (AKA: the economy before the housing crash), and still touting budgets that purposely kept war spending off the books. You're not fooling anyone.

Hoover's economy was great too... if you ignore the whole Great Depression thing.

7 out of 10 years of the Great Depression the Democrats ran all 3 branches and controlled the House in another of the 10 years....so thank you Democrats for dragging out the Great Depression until World War II started. So the tally for Democrats is Slavery, Jim Crow, Great Depression, World War II, Depression of 2008.
