Hackers have stolen and leaked the personal details of users of Ashley Madison — a site that hooks up people who want to have affairs.
A group or individual known as The Impact Team claimed to be behind the attack and that it had data on all of Ashley Madison's 37 million users and its partner sites, Cougar Life and Established Men, all owned by Canada's Avid Life Media (ALM).
The Impact Team claims to have access to the company's user database and is threatening to release all of the information unless the site is taken down.
Honestly, go hackers! I never thought I'd be on this side but Ashley Madison is a disgusting site that makes money off people cheating on their partners.
You want to cheat, this is the result. Nothing is truly private on the Internet anymore.
The website that encourages cheating on your spouse has been hacked and the hackers threatened to release info on those signed up, including their sexual fantasies and fetishes and credit card numbers, if the site is not taken down.
This could be fun and I do not feel one bit bad for anyone who is exposed.
i agree, this site just makes me angry! i was getting spam from them a couple of weeks ago, maybe the hackers. i kept replying back to take me off their disgusting mailing list...what a total low life site! hack away!!
I'd wonder how many of those are legitimate accounts that actually pay for the site.
I'll admit I made an account when I first heard about the site because I was curious. Wonder if that's counted in the 37 million members.
You made an account on a cheaters website because you were "curious"? I'm curious, are you married or in a relationship with someone?
People cheat every day, no surprise there. I think if you're going to cheat though, be more discreet than actively making a profile online. That's just begging to get caught.

that could be because i doubt you are the one and only person that created an account just out of curiosity...i've wanted to create on on farmers only . com just because the commercials crack me up at how low budget they are!

slow your roll, i think the person was curious to see what kind of losers are on there...not curious in the way of cheating.
The surprising thing is they have 37,000,000 members per the Today show, which is 1/10th of the U.S. population...lots of cheaters out there!
Is it just an American site? Once you put under 18s into the mix, that number is preposterous.
