Seems every one is buying tickets to a lottery whose odds of winning are so high that no one has won in 15 draws, IMO this is bordering on colossal scam status.

Nah, not a scam whatsoever. The odds/chances of winning are well known for those who decide to search out such information. And people aren't being forced to play.....they have a choice to play or not play.
The lottery is so random that most people who win the jackpot won it by quick pick. The real test that people should focus on is what they should do IF they win. If I lived in a state where lottery winners could remain anonymous and if I won, I would remain anonymous in a heartbeat.
In my state of Minnesota we get 365 days to claim it, but I agree with you, there's time to prepare before cashing in.

yes, you could help alot more people and charity organizations the more you win. Whats wrong with that?
You'd surely feel differently when you receive 30 solicitation calls per day from charities after the win. They (along with everybody else) will be like vultures, circling high above you constantly.
Ask me how I know . . . . . I won $20 on a scratch ticket once.
At this point, after so much money wasted on 19 draws, players got lottery fatigue and no one will care if it's $1.5B or $10B. It's insane money that no normal person wants or needs.
PB needs to be reformed, and taken back to $1 and better jp odds of say 1:150m.
It would make a difference to me on whether I should make a Presidential bid.
They are not going to reform the golden goose. They've looked into this. People don't want better odds, they want big numbers.
if I won, and I took care of family, id spend building apartments across the us for homeless vets. id probably surf around gofundme and donate, but for everyone else?
id create a wipeout type of event where top 6 win money
The powers to be will have a anom winner win, which actually int the winner and the GOV will steal the money. No way the lottery let somebody win this much
That's probably closer to reality than letting all that money go to an actual winner. I'm not wasting money on any tickets. I just don't trust the govt to do the right thing.
This country's owner cannot afford to have someone get that wealthy.
I've already got the money spent, so all of you can stop buying tickets right now.
