Spent several hours at the Miami Zoo on Friday. It was hot and masks were required (except when eating/drinking). I really thought it would be much more uncomfortable, but I also think the type of mask makes a huge difference.
With one of those cooling gaiters, it could actually be a welcome addition. If you have to wear a mask, at least wear one that has a cooling effect.
Bet no one is going to buy the picture some of the rides take and try to sell you afterward! Going to be weird seeing pics of masked little girls with masked princesses, too.

Or paying that admission fee for a whole family...
When I was visiting my bff in Maitland years ago, we took her kids and went down. Got there around 4 or 5, but didn’t realize it was an early night and the park closed at 8. We paid $85 each for a few hours, cause once we were there the kids would have flipped out if we left!

For a full day, $85 really isn’t that bad though...

Well that was years ago too. It could have been worth it but we paired up for rides. Little boy (5) wanted to go on everything, but only with mom, and little girl was afraid to go on anything (was maybe 6 or 7). So we spent much of it sitting on a bench watching mom and son go on rides. It took 20 minutes to convince her the Winnie the Pooh ride wasn’t “fast”. “See all the people getting off with little babies Mary? They wouldn’t let little babies on if it was fast” and still she had to be reassured by the ride attendant before she’d agree. Then we stood in a very long line to meet Belle, got food and saw fireworks. Then waited in long, long, LONG line for shuttles to get back to the car.
The only worse time I had there was a Christmas visit with same friend before she had kids. They had a cold snap and it was freezing cold! You could go on Splash Mountain 100 times if you wanted, no one was in line at all! This was the only time I ever saw Disney workers be anything less than super nice. Lots of people were crowded into the indoor eatery in TomorrowLand just to get warm, but all the tables were full. Families were eating standing up and toddlers sitting on the floor, and the manager came and kicked everyone out back into the freeze who didn’t have a table. For some reason 40 degrees in Florida feels even colder than 40 degrees here. I even bought Mickey gloves at some ridiculously inflated price cause my hands felt like ice cubes.

Spent 7 hours at Sea World almost 2 weeks ago on a real hot day during the Saharan dust layer...I was concerned wearing the mask would be uncomfortable but it really wasn’t bad unless I was really exerting myself or going up a hill. I am younger and in shape but it was not too bad.
Sea World did a great job with the new procedures and honestly, the park was just as busy as last time I was there pre-Covid, and that’s with there new capacity limits.
Watched a bunch of Disney YouTubers and live streamers this week as Disney World reopened to employees/cast members then annual pass holders before the various parks open to everybody this weekend and next week.
Seems like Disney is full steam ahead with their reopening plans. Universal Orlando has been open for a month now and Sea World has been open for awhile as well.
